一开始，教师就做出“心神不定”的样子，装着寻找着什么东西。一会儿，他便和学生交谈起来。

Teacher：Where is my pen，children？Where is my pen？Is it in the table，or underthe table，or on the table？Where is my pen，Jane？

Jane：It is in your bag.

Teacher：Let me see.No，it is not.Where is my pen，Tom？

Tom：It is in your table.

Teacher：Let me sec.No，it is not.Where is my pen，Betty？

Betty：It is under the book.

Teacher：No，it is not.

问答就这样持续了一段时间。接着，教师拿出

一张“书橱”图片问："Is it in the bookcase？"这时，学生明白了：教师在做游戏。接着教师请一名

学生当“主角”，并请他走出教室。教师把某件物品

（如钢笔）藏在Tom的课桌里，然后把It叫回来。

Teacher：Where is the pen？

It：It is under the bag.

Cathy：No，it is not.

It：It is in the table.

Bob：No，it is not.

It：Is it in your desk，Tom？

Tom：Yes，it is.

在用不同的物品连续进行了几次上述的游戏之后，It请大家闭上眼睛，迅速地藏好物品，要全班同学来猜，而由他来肯定或否定。
