教师在黑板上写一个形容词或副词，要求学生用“so....could hardly...造句。学生在准备-一至两分钟后，便依次轮流读出自己造好的句子。对造句造得最好的学生，教师可颁发小奖品，以资鼓励。下列句子仅供参考：

1.The plane was so far away that I could hardly sce it.

2.The ice was so hard that I could hardly break it.
