意思连贯，即后者带if的条件从句和前者的主句内
容一致。游戏从谈爱畜导入：Teacher：Children，1 have a pet.I am very happy.
Betty：I have a pet，too.I have a kitten.
David：I have a dog.
Cathy：I have a bird.
Teacher：I read a story about a family who had己lion for a pet.
Children：Oh，we know this story.
Teacher：And if I give you a lion cub，what will you do？
接着，教师挂出带if 条件从句的主从复合句
句型表，以启发学生。
Martin：If you give me a lion cub，I shall take it home.
Teacher：If you take it home...
Tom：If I take"it home，my mother will see it.
Teacher：And if your mother sees it，she will cry out.
Kate：If my mother cries，our neighbours will hear her.
John：If our neighbours hear her，they will come to our fat.
Jane：If our neighbours come to our flat，they will cry，too.
Cathy：If the neighbours cry，the people in the street will come to see what has happened.
Toni：And if the people come to see what has happened，the lion will get frightened.
Bob：If the lion gets frightened，it.will run away.
Mike: If the lion runs away, I' ll run after it.
Betty: If I run after it, the traffic police will stop me.
David: If he stops me, I shall tell him about the lion cub.
Rose: IfI tell him about the lion cub, he will help me to catch it. : Martin: If he helps me, I shall catch the cub. Mike: IfI catch the cub; I shall take it home.
Mary: If I take it home, I shall tell my mother not to cry.
Susan: If my mother doesn't cry, the lion cubwill not run away.
Henry: If the cub doesn't run away, it will live with us and will be our pet.
Teacher: All's well that ends well. Was it interesting ?
