英语小故事带翻译：一个大萝卜
从前，有两个兄弟，哥哥很有钱，弟弟却很穷。弟弟想，一定要通过自己的劳动摆脱贫穷，于是他辛辛苦苦地种地。他种上了萝卜籽儿。
Once upon a time, there were two brothers. The elder brother was rich, but the younger brother was very poor. The younger brother thought that he must get rid of poverty through his own labor, so he worked hard to cultivate the land. He planted radish seeds.
萝卜长出来了，又大又结实，眼看它一天比一天大，每天都在不停地长。最后，它长成了一个“萝卜王”，从来没有过这样大的萝卜！这个萝卜有多大呢？要用一整辆车才装得了它，要两头公牛才拖得动它。
The radish grew out, big and strong. I can see that it grows bigger and bigger every day. Finally, it grew into a "king of Radish", never had such a big radish! How big is this radish? It takes a whole car to load it, and two bulls to tow it.
弟弟心想：这么大的萝卜，一定能卖很多钱。可是，谁会来买呢？买了以后要吃到什么时候呀！干脆还是别卖了。国王是个好国王，我把萝卜给国王吧，当一件礼物送给他。
The younger brother thought: such a big radish, can sell a lot of money. But who will buy it? When do you want to eat after you buy it! Just don't sell it. The king is a good king. I will give the radish to the king as a gift.
当国王看到这个大萝卜，非常惊奇：“我见过许多奇异的东西，但还从没见过这么大的萝卜，这是用什么种子种出来的呢？看来只有你能种出这样的萝卜来，你真是一个幸运儿。”
When the king saw the big radish, he was very surprised: "I have seen many strange things, but I have never seen such a big radish. What kind of seed is this planted? It seems that only you can grow such radishes. You are really a lucky one
弟弟说：“啊，不，尊敬的国王，我不是一个幸运儿，我只是一个贫穷的农民。”

国王同情地说：“我要送你一些东西，帮你摆脱贫穷。”
The king said sympathetically, "I will give you something to help you out of poverty."
于是，国王送了他大量金子、田地、草原和牲畜，让他变成了富裕的人。
So the king gave him a lot of gold, fields, grasslands and livestock to make him a rich man.
哥哥听到弟弟只用一个萝卜就得到了那么多财富，觉得很奇怪，也非常妒忌。他就想，自己怎样也能够得到国王的礼物呢？
The elder brother heard that the younger brother only used a radish to get so much wealth. He felt very strange and envious. He thought, how can he get a gift from the king?
哥哥很富有，他拿了金子和马匹，送给国王。他想，弟弟只用一个萝卜就换到了那么多财富，我拿这么多好东西去，国王一定会更喜欢我的，一定会送给我更多金银财宝！
He took gold and horses and gave them to the king. He thought, my brother only used one radish to get so much wealth. If I take so many good things, the king will like me more and give me more gold and silver treasures!
他怎么也没想到，国王收下礼物对他说：“谢谢你这么慷慨，我实在不知道用什么来回报你。这样吧，我刚收到一件非常稀奇的礼物，是一个特别大特别大的萝卜！你一定从没见过。我要把这件稀奇的礼物送
To his surprise, the king took the gift and said to him, "thank you for being so generous. I really don't know what to give you back. Well, I just received a very rare gift. It's a very big radish! You must have never seen it. I'm going to give this rare gift

于是，贪婪的哥哥就把弟弟的大萝卜放在车上，拉回了家。从来没有过这样大的萝卜！这个萝卜有多大呢？要用一整辆车才装得了它，要两头公牛才拖得动它。
So the greedy brother put his brother's radish on the car and took it home. Never before has such a big radish! How big is this radish? It takes a whole car to load it, and two bulls to tow it.
